We are in the home stretch of me sharing about my portfolio career journey and I wanted to share a few parting thoughts about portfolio careers.

The first thought is a controversial one…..

You can start a portfolio career AND go back to corporate.

I don’t want to create this boogey-man view of corporate America. Some of my biggest learning experiences (the things I teach about now!) came from working with smart teams, building impactful products.

Life is all about ANDS.

If I got tapped to be the CEO or CMO of an impactful brand…..I might just take it!

I’d keep writing my newsletter.

I’d keep showing up on social media.

I’d even keep writing books and doing podcasts and keynotes.

But building a portfolio career is about the freedom and opportunity.

I have the choice to go back to a 9-5 for the right opportunity.

I have the ability to make more $$$ than the 9-5 ceiling allows.

This is the future of building personal brands on top of careers.

I’ll get off my soapbox after this last transition……
