Learning to be a marketer
It turns out, marketing is not easy.
Almost immediately, I went from being a sales strategy guy (my Salesforce experience) who had a personal finance side project (Big Later) to the “Head of Content” responsible for SEO, landing pages, lead magnets, social media, webinars, a podcast, and pretty much all copywriting everywhere.
But I had two big things working for me: 1) I inherited a capable, hard-working team, and; 2) there are some great minds out there who have done a lot of thinking and writing and sharing and if you can find the time to tap into their experiences, you can pick up some good habits pretty fast.
I want to share the resources that helped me become a better marketer. But I’m gonna save that for the next fast-forward.
