Some facts about me (some are fun)
Boilerplate comment about these fast forward links
I use the 70 seconds between emails to provide some entertainment value. The more you fast forward, the more little gems you'll find hidden along the way.
- I studied Philosophy and Math in college, but I was the type of math student who just learned by following examples and never really built the foundation I needed to develop a deep understanding. It is one of my biggest regrets (sure I could go back and re-learn stuff, but plate's a bit full these days)
- I lived in Germany for a year - Freiburg specifically. It was one of the best years of my life and super rewarding to study Kant in German. (Oh and for whatever reason, I thought it would be a good move to study Russian... in German!).
- I'm a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but I've never been in a fight in my life (and intend on keeping it that way). They call it the "gentle art". I call it "snuggle wrestling".
- My favorite book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck, but I went on an absolute tear at the beginning of 2021 and read a bunch of 20th century political dystopian fiction. The last book I read (at the time of writing this) was The Three Body Problem (AMAZING Sci-Fi).
